 It was sometime in 2024 when Kaleb, the founder, was looking at the shirt he had on and thought, “This thing… it’s just fabric. Says nothing about me.” That was it. That was the moment. From there it turned into an idea, then a plan, and before long Lovaape was real.

We found our place at 466 Northway Dr, Abilene, TX 79601. Not a fancy building, but it had space, light, and just felt right. That spot became the workshop. Every shirt, every sweatshirt we make… it all starts here and ends here. Rolls of fabric in one corner, machines humming in another, sometimes a bit of cotton dust floating in the air.

Lovaape runs on a direct-to-consumer setup. Not because some blog said it’s the way to go, but because it means we keep control. We see the fabric before it’s cut, we see the stitching, the print, the packing. No middlemen messing with it. No shortcuts.

We make both ready-to-wear and custom stuff. Could be a print someone’s been thinking about for months, could be a small size tweak, could be embroidery for a team. Most of our customers? Truck people. Folks who’ve logged more miles than they can count. “Fueled by Passion” isn’t just a tagline. It’s what we feel when we hand over a finished piece.

T-Shirts and Sweatshirts That Don’t Quit

We stick to two main things. T-shirts and sweatshirts. Nothing too complicated, but we do them right.

Cotton comes from American Cotton Growers in Texas. Combed cotton, 180 to 200 GSM, pure 100 percent cotton. The fleece comes from Polartec in Massachusetts, midweight brushed, 300 to 320 GSM, 80 cotton and 20 poly. We check every batch. Pre-shrink it, treat it so it won’t pill, set the color so it keeps shape and tone after 30-plus washes.

The fit is classic. Relaxed. Works with jeans, with work pants. Good for a long day or a lazy Sunday. Before we add any style to stock, we make a small run to test it. Wash it, wear it, print on it, see how it behaves.

Care is simple. Cold wash, inside-out, low tumble or hang dry. That’s all it takes to keep a Lovaape piece going for years.

Making and Checking, All in One Place

Everything happens at 466 Northway Dr. If you walk in, you’ll probably smell fresh cotton and a bit of ink from the printers. Shipments from American Cotton Growers and Polartec get checked first. GSM weight, color under D65 light, shrinkage after a wash.

We lay out the rolls, heat-treat them to keep the fibers stable. Dark fabrics get extra dye-fix. Cutting is done with Eastman multi-layer cutters from the USA, sharp and precise. Sewing is on Juki and Brother industrial machines, with reinforced seams where clothes get the most wear.

Printing? Epson SureColor F2100 DTG for bright, detailed stuff. Screen printing for bold, long-lasting designs. Every design gets a proof before we commit.

We check everything by hand. Stitching, print placement, fabric feel. If it doesn’t feel right, we fix it or scrap it.

Packing is just as careful. Flat-fold, moisture-resistant bag, into the box. USPS, UPS, or FedEx. You get tracking right away. 

The Crew

The shop runs on a small crew. Design and pattern work. Sewing. Printing. QC. Customer service. Everyone’s got a main job, but if a rush order comes in, we all pitch in. Designers cut fabric, printers pack boxes, support staff fold shirts.
